The Calling Party Name Substitution feature replaces the
caller's name with the caller's Department in PSTN-bound calls, thereby
concealing the caller's identity for privacy and security.
This feature is applicable only for PSTN-bound PRI and SIP trunk calls. For PRI calls, the first 15 characters of the Department field are used. For SIP Trunk calls, the first 34 characters of the Department field are used.
For Multi-Device User Groups callers, the Department of the Prime member is used in PSTN-bound calls.
If the Department field for the caller is blank, a dash (-) is substituted for the caller’s name.
Configure the Department field.
Set the Calling Party Name Substitution option to Yes.
